Hourly electricity generation by source
Drag on the strip below the chart to zoom. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, double-click to reset, or type an exact range into the date boxes. Averaging switches automatically from monthly to daily to hourly as you zoom in.
Values are mean power in MW over each averaging interval, so the scale stays comparable across hourly, daily and monthly.
Daily and monthly means flatten peaks: Germany's ~45 GW midday solar peak reads as roughly 8 GW as a daily mean.
Coverage is limited to ENTSO-E-metered plants, so distributed rooftop solar and small biomass are under-reported in several countries — annual totals here sit below the Eurostat figures used elsewhere in this repo.
The United Kingdom is omitted: GB stopped reporting a detailed generation breakdown after Brexit, so its stack would show a false collapse.
